Where we come from

Our past

Aldersgate United Methodist Church was established in 1958. We are a worshipping community of the United Methodist Church. John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist movement, once stood in a community on Aldersgate Street and said "I felt my heart strangely warmed. I felt I did trust in Christ, Christ alone, for salvation; and an assurance was given me that He had taken away my sins, even mine, and saved me from the law of sin and death." We desire for every one to have an Aldersgate experience in which they feel their heart strangely warmed by the love of Jesus Christ. This is why we call ourselves the Aldersgate Community.

Who we are

Our Present

Here at Aldersgate Community, we believe that because of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection that Love Reaches All. We hope that you find connection and community here at the church of the warm heart. Our ministries are designed to help you have your heart "strangely warmed" by the love of Jesus and our community.

Where we're going

Our future

We want for Jesus' love to reach all, therefore we are going out into the world to make disciples. We believe to do that we strive:

  • To build deep and caring relationships that foster a sense of joy of belonging
  • To meet people in the midst of crisis and walk alongside to find solace and solution
  • To gather together in worship that is dynamic, meaningful, and open to all,
  • To value children and help them grow in the light of love.
